ICFP in Victoria

The
ACM SIGPLAN International Conference on Functional Programming
is being held in
Victoria (British Columbia, Canada) this year (see
ICFP 2008). It's only a short
drive/ferry trip from Vancouver, so I'm going over for at least 1
day. Here's a brief recap of the
schedule:
| Saturday, September 20: | ACM SIGPLAN Workshop on Generic Programming |
| Saturday, September 20: | ACM SIGPLAN Workshop on Mechanizing Metatheory |
| Saturday, September 20: | ACM SIGPLAN Workshop on Scheme and Functional Programming |
| Sunday, September 21: | ACM SIGPLAN Workshop on ML |
| Sunday, September 21: | ACM SIGPLAN Functional and Declarative Programming in Education (FDPE'08) |
| Sunday, September 21: | Poster Session (3pm - 6pm) |
| Monday, September 22: | ICFP Conference |
| Tuesday, September 23: | ICFP Conference |
| Wednesday, September 24: | ICFP Conference |
| Thursday, September 25: | ACM SIGPLAN Haskell Symposium (Haskell'08) |
| Thursday, September 25: | Functional Programming Developer Tracks (DEFUN '08) |
| Friday, September 26: | Commercial Users of Functional Programming (CUFP'08) |
| Saturday, September 27: | ACM SIGPLAN Erlang Workshop |
| Saturday, September 27: | Functional Programming Developer Tracks (DEFUN '08) |
I plan to be there on Saturday, September 20 for the Workshop on Scheme and Functional Programming; however, there are interesting sessions on most days and I may come over for some of the other sessions as well. Hans Hübner is going to be there (he's flying over from Berlin, which is a bit of a longer commute than the one I'll be doing) and will be speaking at our lispvan meeting next Thursday evening too!
