My Lisp and Erlang Blog Feeds

Wednesday, July 4, 2007

I only generate one RSS feed for my blog and that feed has the last 7 posts that I've made. I've sometimes thought of adding tags to my posts; however, I've never liked manual tags as I feel they tend to create artificial divisions. In recent months though, I've started to make more Erlang-specific posts and I thought it might be useful to provide an alternative for people who want to read only the Lisp content or only the Erlang content. I've played around with Yahoo Pipes in the past, so I decided to use it to create 2 Yahoo Pipes RSS feeds that provide subsets of my weblog posts:

The pipes just select content based on whether I mention the word "lisp" or the word "erlang" in a post, so there isn't anything clever being done to determine suitability. Of course, if you want to read everything I write, you can always just subscribe to my Full Weblog Feed.
