OpenMCL went 1.0 today! A few of the highlights:

Initial 64-bit support for G5 PPC systems on Mac OS X
Vastly improved ANSI CL conformance
The Cocoa bridge is now less sensitive to minor changes in Mac OS X releases
Improved GC performance
Improved thread support
A "Demo Cocoa IDE" example distributed with this release (using code from Portable Hemlock)
Numerous changes/fixes

Bryan O'Connor has a post that talks a bit about the release. There is also some detail and roadmap info in the presentation that Gary Byers gave in August. You can download OpenMCL 1.0 from here (although it might be good to hold off for a day or two as the site is a bit busy at the moment ;-) ).
