Successful Lisp book

Tuesday, December 28, 2004

Successful Lisppad Just got my copy of Successful Lisp in the mail. Although the book has been available online for some time, it was only just released in print through Markus Fix's on demand publishing company bookfix.com. I first read the online version of Successful Lisp several years ago and, until Peter Seibel started putting his Practical Common Lisp book on the internet, I had always considered Successful Lisp to be the best electronic introduction to CL available. I still consider it a good introduction to CL. Congratulations to the author, David B. Lamkins, for a fine book. And, congratulations to Markus Fix on getting the first new CL book in a long time published!

With Successful Lisp now in print and Practical Common Lisp due out Real Soon Now (RSN), it's nice to see some new CL books coming into print!
