Historical CLOS Video

Monday, October 18, 2004

Tayssir John Gabbour posted on c.l.l. a link to a 1987 video of a talk given by Daniel G. Bobrow on the Common LISP Object Standard (CLOS). Since Daniel G. Bobrow co-authored The Art of the Metaobject Protocol with Gregor Kiczales and Jim des Rivieres in addition to writing some of the seminal CLOS articles (some of which are included in the book Object-Oriented Programming - The CLOS Perspective) and the Common Lisp Object Systems Specifications: Ansi Standard Document (No 548883), this video provides an interesting snippet of CL history.

Tayssir also provided links to a number of other interesting videos.

In addition to the links that Tayssir provided, the MIT Dynamic Languages Wizards Series videos provide some interesting insights from a number of famous Lisp personalities.
