Lisp User Group meeting in Amsterdam (on video?)
Thursday, September 23, 2004
Arthur Lemmens announced the next Amsterdam Lisp meeting (to be held this Sunday, September 26) a few days ago. I've been having a look at the agenda for the meeting and it looks like a terrific session:
- 14:00-14:10 Getting started
- 14:10-14:55 Peter van Eynde (Antwerp, Belgium)
Peter will talk about building dynamic web sites with Araneida - 14:55-15:40 Edi Weitz (Hamburg, Germany):
Edi will talk about mod_lisp and TBNL (or maybe something else) - 15:40-16:00 A small break
- 16:00-16:45 Jim Newton (Muenchen, Germany).
Jim will talk about "A Multiple Inheritance Object-Oriented Approach to PCell Development"
and may also give a flashy demo if there's any time left - 16:45-17:30 Marc Battyani (Fontainebleau, France)
Marc will talk about his web application framework - 17:30-18:00 Nick Levine (UK) and Ernst van Waning (Muiderberg, Netherlands)
Nick and Ernst will be talking about CLRFI and other ALU topics - 18:00-19:00 Drinks at the bar of Hotel Arena
- 19:00-??:?? We'll walk to a Greek restaurant for dinner
Alternatively, it looks like Tayssir John Gabbour might be going to make some videos of the presentations. This sounds like a really good idea and I hope it starts a trend. Even if it costs a few bucks, it would save me a lot of money (over the cost of physically attending) and I would get to see some great presentations that I would otherwise have missed. I wonder if there will be wide-screen and director's cut versions of the video as well? ;-) If you are interested in a video, how about sending an email to Arthur Lemmens and/or Tayssir John Gabbour so that they have an idea of the level of interest.
