Hackers and Painters is now available
from Amazon. There is
an interview with Paul Graham on the O'Reilly web site where he
discusses his new book. He
summarizes his approach to programming projects as:"I try to build big programs out of small ones. So, when I approach a new project, I look for the subset of the problem that I can solve with the smallest program. Then I start adding things."That pretty well sums up what programming in Lisp is like. There's also a Wired review and All Consuming has a list of weblogs mentioning the book. |
