The European style Lisp conference #2
Tuesday, April 13, 2004
A few days ago, I mentioned the 1st European Lisp and Scheme Workshop and noted that it was being co-located with ECOOP2004. I suggested that this (co-locating with a larger conference) might be an approach that US Lisp conferences could follow as well and listed some of the potential advantages. Well, it looks like some US Lisp conferences have already adopted this format. Oscar Waddell pointed out to me that the 2004 Scheme Workshop will be co-located with the 2004 International Conference on Functional Programming (ICFP) in Utah. ICFP is September 19-22 and the Scheme Workshop is on September 22. Past workshops have been held in Boston (2003), Pittsburgh (2002), Florence (2001), and Montreal (2000).
