Life, Death, the Universe and Cells
Tuesday, February 10, 2004
Kenny Tilton came out to Colorado to give a couple of sessions on
Cells to the
Denver Area Lisp Users Group. We had an introductory session on
Saturday night where the relative merits of Cells, agents, life,
death, the universe (and all that stuff) were debated over a number of beers. Then, on
Monday night, Kenny hosted a tutorial workshop where we got to "have
a play" with Cells. We worked our way through a number of
progressively more sophisticated code samples, built some basic
text editing components, and learned how to use the declarative nature of Cells to
ensure that different aspects of the sample editor were kept in
sync.
Many thanks to Kenny for a couple of very worthwhile and
interesting educational sessions.
