Some good intros to Scheme macros
Friday, December 12, 2003
I mentioned in my December 7 post that I was looking for a good introduction to Scheme macros. These are the ones that I think are the best introductions of the ones that I've come across:
- Kent Dybvig's book "The Scheme Programming Language". The book is also online and the relevant sections are Section 3.1 and Chapter 8.
- Shriram Krishnamurthi has an online textbook for the CS173 course that he is teaching at Brown University. The relevant chapters are the November 17-21 portions of the book.
- John Small's online book "Learn Scheme Now" has a very good introduction to Scheme macros in Chapter 2.
- For PLT Scheme, the MzScheme Language Reference has some good material in Chapter 12.
